Why is it necessary for this program to make changes to my computer? It should inform the user before installation starts that changes are made

What "changes" are you referring to: Are you referring to how Launcher sets itself up to start when the computer launches? I will take note and possibly add some text in installer that Launcher will set itself up to be run from system tray. (Do bear in mind that the idea of Launcher is to have it available in system tray.)

Otherwise there is a minute touch done to registry with regards to license control. But nothing using COM or anything like that. (Or changing any computer or Windows settings for that matter!)
